Solid for our team
We rolled this out across the team last quarter and supports image and asset references for guidance. Text-to-video with multi-shot scene planning fits neatly into how we already work, and cinematic camera and lighting presets removed a step we used to do by hand. but it has held up under daily use.
Use it every day
Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Image and asset-based prompting is exactly what I needed, and generates multi-shot scenes from a single prompt. I do wish longer-form storytelling still requires manual stitching, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Does the job
Pretty happy overall. Cinematic camera and lighting presets just works and generates multi-shot scenes from a single prompt. but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.
Compared a few options
Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: image and asset-based prompting and keeps characters and settings consistent across shots. Where it lags: limited fine-grained editing compared to traditional NLEs. On balance the feature set — especially text-to-video with multi-shot scene planning — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.
Q&A
What are the main limitations compared to traditional video editors?
Veo 4 offers limited fine-grained editing compared to traditional NLEs, and output quality depends heavily on prompt craft. It's optimized for short-form cinematic clips, so longer narratives require stitching multiple generations together manually.
Asked by Yuki Mori · Oct 24, 2025
Can I guide the output using my own images or reference assets?
Yes. You can upload images or briefs as anchors to guide characters, wardrobe, and environments, then iterate on prompts per shot to refine tone, camera work, and narrative beats.
Asked by Elena Rossi · Oct 7, 2025
What types of creators and use cases is Veo 4 Video Generator best suited for?
It's aimed at marketers, social creators, filmmakers, and prototypers who need short-form cinematic content quickly. It works well for multi-shot scenes with consistent characters and synced audio, but longer-form storytelling still requires manual stitching.
