Overview

Salesforce Data Cloud is a real-time data platform that ingests, harmonizes, and activates customer and operational data from across an organization's systems. It connects sources like CRM records, web and mobile interactions, data warehouses, and third-party feeds into a unified profile that can be queried, segmented, and acted on without copying data between silos. The platform is tightly integrated with the Salesforce ecosystem, feeding insights into Sales, Service, Marketing, Commerce, Tableau, and Einstein AI. Teams use it to build audiences, trigger automations, train predictive models, and ground generative AI agents in trusted business context, making it most valuable for mid-to-large companies already invested in Salesforce.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Zero-copy integration with Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks is exactly what I needed, and strong segmentation and activation capabilities. I do wish enterprise pricing can be costly, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Does the job

Pretty happy overall. Built-in analytics with Tableau connectivity just works and zero-copy connections to major data warehouses. Enterprise pricing can be costly can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on built-in analytics with Tableau connectivity, and zero-copy connections to major data warehouses caught me off guard. Most value depends on existing Salesforce investment is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: built-in analytics with Tableau connectivity and native integration with Salesforce clouds and Einstein AI. Where it lags: most value depends on existing Salesforce investment. On balance the feature set — especially identity resolution and unified profiles — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.

Unlike other data platforms that focus primarily on managing and organizing data, Data 360 was purpose-built to help companies take action on their data across everyday applications like Sales, Service, and Marketing Cloud. That's because Data 360 is natively integrated into the Salesforce metadata framework and enables all teams, not just IT, to move faster with data using low-code tools like Flow and Agentforce.

Asked by Aaliyah Johnson · Aug 6, 2025

Is Data 360 a data modeling tool?

While Data 360 does offer data modeling capabilities, its primary focus is to serve as a tool for activating your data. The Salesforce data model is designed to help you easily integrate your data within the Salesforce metadata framework, turning data from any source into native objects and fields ready to use across all your Salesforce applications.

Asked by Xiomara Delgado · Aug 6, 2025

What data sources can I integrate with Data 360?

Data 360 allows you to ingest virtually any data source to activate data-driven decision making and a robust data strategy.
