Interviewer.AIAI-powered video interviewing for faster, smarter candidate screening

4.3 (6)

Overview

Interviewer.AI is a video interview platform that helps recruiters and hiring teams screen candidates at scale. Applicants record asynchronous video responses to preset questions, while the platform analyzes communication skills, sentiment, and relevant traits to surface promising candidates earlier in the funnel. The tool integrates with existing ATS workflows and provides shareable interview links, ranked candidate summaries, and AI-generated question templates tailored to specific roles. It is aimed at organizations looking to reduce time-to-hire and standardize the early stages of recruitment. While AI scoring is meant to support rather than replace human judgment, hiring teams typically use the insights to prioritize live interviews and shortlist faster.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is aI-driven candidate scoring and ranking — handled better than most — and asynchronous format works across time zones. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: sentiment and communication analysis and generates role-specific interview questions. Where it lags: accuracy depends on question quality. On balance the feature set — especially aI-driven candidate scoring and ranking — justifies the 4 stars for our use case.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on aTS and workflow integrations, and standardized evaluation across applicants caught me off guard. Less suited for highly technical role assessments is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Q&A

Will using an AI tool negatively impact the candidate experience?

On the contrary, it often improves it. High-volume hiring usually leads to candidate “ghosting” due to recruiter bandwidth. Our platform gives every applicant the opportunity to “tell their story” via video rather than just being a document in a pile. Plus, the asynchronous nature allows them to interview 24/7 at their own convenience, resulting in higher completion rates.

Asked by Fernando Rojas · Apr 29, 2026

Does this replace our recruiting team?

No, it gives them superpowers. The AI acts as a 24/7 junior recruiter that handles the repetitive, time-consuming task of pre-screening and shortlisting. This frees your human recruiters to focus entirely on high-value tasks: building relationships with the best candidates, closing offers, and strategic workforce planning.

Asked by Leila Hassan · Apr 30, 2026

How much time and cost does this actually save?

Organisations typically reduce screening time by 60–80%, eliminate manual CV reviews, and shorten time-to-shortlist from weeks to days—especially for roles with hundreds or thousands of applicants.

Asked by Xavier Costa · Mar 20, 2026

How does AI-based pre-screening work in high-volume hiring?

Interviewer.AI conducts structured, job-specific interviews at the application stage. Every candidate is asked the same role-aligned questions and evaluated against consistent criteria, helping you shortlist qualified candidates faster—without manual CV screening.

Asked by Priya Nair · Mar 3, 2026

Will AI introduce bias into our hiring process?

We prioritize Explainable AI to actively reduce bias. Unlike “black box” algorithms that make decisions you can’t see, our platform provides a transparent breakdown of why a candidate was scored a certain way. By focusing on objective performance metrics—such as content relevance and communication clarity—we remove the unconscious human biases often attached to names, backgrounds, or schools.
