Overview

GAME by Virtuals is a modular framework that enables AI agents to perceive their environment, reason about goals, and take autonomous actions across blockchain ecosystems. It acts as the cognitive layer behind agents that can trade, interact with smart contracts, manage assets, or engage with communities without constant human prompting. The engine breaks agent behavior into structured components like goals, planners, and workers, allowing developers to define how an agent thinks, what tools it can use, and how it responds to new information. This makes it suitable for building persistent, goal-driven agents that operate across decentralized applications. GAME is primarily aimed at Web3 builders creating autonomous characters, DeFi agents, or interactive on-chain entities within the Virtuals Protocol ecosystem and compatible chains.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Customizable tools and action spaces is exactly what I needed, and modular design supports custom tools and workers. I do wish documentation still maturing, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: goal-driven agent decision engine and structured framework for agent reasoning and planning. Where it lags: documentation still maturing. On balance the feature set — especially goal-driven agent decision engine — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is smart contract and wallet interaction support — handled better than most — and modular design supports custom tools and workers. Worth the time if this is your use case.
