Use cases

Deploy Multi-Agent Workflows as REST APIs

Developers can convert AutoGen-based agent prototypes into production REST API services using FastAgency's deployment-ready scaffolding and automatic endpoint generation.

Build Web UIs for AI Agents

Teams can wrap multi-agent workflows in a web interface runtime, enabling customer-facing chat applications without building frontend infrastructure from scratch.

Prototype Agents via Console

Engineers can test agent logic locally through the console runtime before promoting the same workflow to web or API environments with minimal code changes.

Internal Tool Development

Organizations can rapidly build internal AI assistant tools by leveraging the structured project layout and integrations with established agent frameworks like AutoGen.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and open-source and developer-friendly. Open-source codebase fits neatly into how we already work, and rEST API generation for agents removed a step we used to do by hand. Requires programming knowledge to use, which is the main caveat, but it has held up under daily use.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is integration with agent frameworks like AutoGen — handled better than most — and works with established agent frameworks. Requires programming knowledge to use is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: multi-agent workflow scaffolding and works with established agent frameworks. Where it lags: requires programming knowledge to use. On balance the feature set — especially multi-agent workflow scaffolding — justifies the 4 stars for our use case.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Open-source codebase is exactly what I needed, and open-source and developer-friendly. but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. REST API generation for agents is exactly what I needed, and open-source and developer-friendly. I do wish limited documentation for advanced use cases, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Q&A

What deployment options are supported (console, web UI, etc.)?

The framework offers three runtime environments: a console interface for quick testing, a web UI for interactive use, and a REST API for integration into external applications or customer‑facing services.

Asked by Jasper Vermeer · Aug 17, 2025

Can FastAgency generate a REST API for my multi‑agent workflow?

Yes, the framework automatically creates REST API endpoints for the agents, allowing you to expose the workflow as a service without writing boilerplate API code.

Asked by Ivo Novotný · Aug 3, 2025

Which agent frameworks does FastAgency integrate with?

FastAgency includes built‑in integrations with popular frameworks such as AutoGen, and can be extended to work with other agent libraries through its modular design.

Asked by Ulla Nielsen · Aug 3, 2025

What programming skills are needed to use FastAgency?

FastAgency is aimed at developers and requires familiarity with coding, typically in Python, to define agent logic and configure the provided scaffolding.
