Overview

BrainSoup is a platform for creating and managing custom AI agents using natural language instructions. Instead of coding, users describe what they want an agent to do, and BrainSoup orchestrates the underlying models, tools, and integrations to carry out the work. Agents can be assigned specific roles, given access to files and data sources, and connected to external services to handle recurring tasks such as research, document processing, communication, and workflow automation. Multiple agents can collaborate, allowing users to build small teams of specialized assistants for more complex projects. BrainSoup is aimed at professionals, teams, and power users who want to offload repetitive knowledge work and customize AI behavior without building infrastructure from scratch.

Use cases

Automate Recurring Research Tasks

Create an agent that regularly gathers, summarizes, and organizes research from connected files and external sources, freeing professionals from manual information collection.

Document Processing Pipelines

Configure agents to ingest, classify, and process documents using natural language instructions, streamlining repetitive paperwork and data extraction workflows.

Multi-Agent Project Teams

Assemble specialized agents with distinct roles that collaborate on complex projects, mimicking a small team of assistants tackling different parts of a workflow.

Communication and Outreach Automation

Set up role-based agents to draft, send, and manage routine communications by connecting to external services and following natural language guidelines.

Pros & Cons

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Role-based agent configuration is exactly what I needed, and connects to files and external tools. but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on role-based agent configuration, and no-code agent creation via natural language caught me off guard. Learning curve for designing effective agents is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and supports multi-agent collaboration. File and data source integration fits neatly into how we already work, and natural language task instructions removed a step we used to do by hand. Learning curve for designing effective agents, which is the main caveat, but it has held up under daily use.

Q&A

Is BrainSoup suitable for complex projects that need multiple assistants?

Yes, you can create multiple specialized agents that collaborate within a single workflow, allowing a team‑like structure for handling larger, multi‑step assignments.

Asked by Amara Chukwu · Aug 12, 2025

What options are there for keeping my data private?

BrainSoup stores data in a local database, supports local LLMs (e.g., via Ollama), and any calls to third‑party models are anonymized and not used for training, ensuring your information stays on‑device.

Asked by Ines Zeković · Jul 11, 2025

Can BrainSoup agents access my own files and external services?

Yes, agents can be granted access to local files, databases, and integrated with external services via simple text‑file or script interfaces, enabling tasks like document processing, research, and communication.

Asked by Rasheed Osman · Jun 5, 2025

How does BrainSoup let me create AI agents without coding?

You describe the desired behavior in natural language; BrainSoup translates the instruction into workflows, selects appropriate LLMs and tools, and configures the agent, so no programming is required.
