Years in this space
I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is the dashboard — handled better than most — and the value for money is strong. Worth the time if this is your use case.
Does the job
Pretty happy overall. The core workflow just works and it is genuinely easy to set up. but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.
Use it every day
Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. The integrations is exactly what I needed, and support is responsive. but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Q&A
What performance considerations should I keep in mind when adding assistant-ui?
The library is optimized for high performance and a minimal bundle size, but you still need React/TypeScript expertise to configure streaming, interruptions, and multi‑turn state management efficiently.
Asked by Vikram Rao · Aug 20, 2025
Can I use assistant-ui in a non‑React project?
assistant-ui is built specifically for React and TypeScript; using it outside of a React environment would require substantial adaptation, so native support is limited to React applications.
Asked by Aisha Khan · Aug 14, 2025
Which LLM providers can I connect to using assistant-ui?
The library works with multiple providers, including Vercel AI SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith, allowing you to plug in the LLM service that best fits your project.
Asked by Tariq Aziz · Jul 21, 2025
Is assistant-ui free to use or are there licensing fees?
assistant-ui is an open‑source library released under a permissive license, so you can use it without any licensing fees; costs only arise from your own hosting or any paid LLM provider you integrate.
