Tried Evo.ninja for exactly this. Great for the 80% case, but we hit limits on the edge workflows and ended up scripting around it. Still net positive.

+1 on this. The thing nobody mentions is the integration time — budget a week. After that it mostly disappears into the background, which is what you want.

Honestly depends on your volume. Below a certain scale DeepPDF is overkill; we got further with something lighter and only upgraded later.
