Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and useful for both new code and refactoring work. Project-aware context understanding fits neatly into how we already work, and adaptive AI code completion and generation removed a step we used to do by hand. Relatively new compared to established IDEs, which is the main caveat, but it has held up under daily use.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: project-aware context understanding and familiar IDE experience with minimal learning curve. On balance the feature set — especially adaptive AI code completion and generation — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is multi-language programming support — handled better than most — and context-aware AI suggestions tailored to your project. Relatively new compared to established IDEs is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Pretty happy overall. Project-aware context understanding just works and speeds up repetitive coding and boilerplate tasks. Relatively new compared to established IDEs can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.

What kinds of tasks can the Agent mode handle, and does it require manual coding afterward?

Agent mode accepts higher‑level instructions and can execute multi‑step actions across multiple files, such as generating new modules, refactoring code, or updating configurations. While it automates the workflow, the generated code should still be reviewed by a developer before shipping.
