The driver must pay close attention to the vehicle’s surroundings and be ready to re‑take control of the gas and brake at all times. Factors that can affect ACC performance include poor visibility, obstructed camera or radar, incorrect device mounting, approaching toll booths, pedestrians or cyclists, traffic signs or stop lights not detected by openpilot, speed limits below the set speed, stationary vehicles in the lane, abrupt braking, limited acceleration/deceleration, close cut‑ins, hills, narrow or winding roads, extreme temperatures, bright light, and ultrasonic interference.
