Overview

Track Manager is a security-tested data-ai skill for Claude AI, designed to manage Conductor tracks, phases, and tasks. It enforces the Evaluate-Loop workflow, which consists of PLAN, EVALUATE, EXECUTE, and COMPLETE/FIX steps. The skill is used for updating track status, task markers, and navigating between tracks. It ensures that all operations follow the Evaluate-Loop process and that plans are updated after completing tasks. The tool provides a structured approach to track management, including metadata management and loop state tracking. The Evaluate-Loop workflow is a key component, requiring evaluation before marking tasks complete and preventing duplicate work across sessions. The skill also handles track structure, including master track lists, authority matrices, and metadata schemas. It supports creating new tracks, updating loop states, and migrating from v1 to v2 metadata. Track Manager uses specific task status markers, such as [ ] for pending, [~] for in-progress, [x] for completed, and [!] for blocked tasks. The tool also integrates with various files, including tracks.md, plan.md, and spec.md, to provide a comprehensive view of track progress and requirements. Overall, Track Manager provides a structured and standardized approach to managing Conductor tracks, phases, and tasks, ensuring consistency and efficiency in workflow operations.

Q&A

Can I use this alongside other Claude Code plugins?

Yes. SupaConductor uses the /orchestrator-supaconductor: namespace and does not conflict with any other plugins, built‑in commands, or MCP servers.

Asked by Esther Adeyemi · Dec 4, 2025

Does this work with Cursor, Windsurf, or other AI tools?

No. SupaConductor is a Claude Code plugin that requires Claude Code's plugin system. However, the conductor/ directory it creates consists of plain Markdown files, which any AI tool can read, so you can switch tools later and retain the specs, plans, and documentation.

Is this overkill for small tasks?

For a quick one‑file fix, it’s better to use Claude Code directly. SupaConductor is useful when the work touches three or more files, you would normally plan before coding, you want automated quality checks, or you need the work done right the first time. You can also use individual commands without running the full loop.

Asked by Liam O’Connor · Nov 20, 2025

How much of my context window does this use?

Skills use progressive disclosure, loading only about 100 tokens of metadata each. Full instructions load only when activated (typically under 5,000 tokens each). Agents run in separate conversations with their own context windows, so they don’t fill up your main conversation. For example, the Orchestrator uses ~4,000 tokens during /go, the Planner ~3,000 tokens during planning, each Evaluator ~2,500 tokens when active, a Board meeting ~5,000 tokens on demand, and idle state ~500 tokens.

How much does this cost in API credits?

SupaConductor uses the same Claude API as normal Claude Code but runs multiple agents, so it consumes roughly 3‑5× the API calls compared to a single manual conversation. It optimizes costs automatically by using Opus for planning/evaluation and Sonnet for execution. You can reduce cost by writing specs yourself, skipping board meetings for small features, or using human‑in‑the‑loop mode.
