Overview

Stampede AI is a hospitality-focused platform that links guest marketing with day-to-day venue operations. It combines tools like guest WiFi, bookings, reviews, loyalty and email marketing into a single system, helping bars, restaurants and hotels capture customer data and turn it into repeat visits. The platform uses AI to segment audiences, automate campaigns and surface insights from guest behaviour, so operators can run targeted promotions without a dedicated marketing team. By unifying online touchpoints with in-venue activity, it gives hospitality businesses a clearer view of who their customers are and how to bring them back.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: guest WiFi with data capture and automates guest data capture via WiFi and bookings. Where it lags: niche focus limits use outside hospitality. On balance the feature set — especially automated email and SMS marketing — justifies the 4 stars for our use case.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is automated email and SMS marketing — handled better than most — and combines marketing and operations in one platform. Niche focus limits use outside hospitality is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Q&A

How do bookings work with Square?

Guests book on your branded Stampede page and reservations flow straight into Square for Restaurants. Seat a guest and the order and check link automatically, giving you one connected record from booking through to payment. The guest's full profile is pushed to the Square device, so staff see who they are, their visit history and preferences the moment they arrive.

Asked by Wolfgang Krause · Jul 23, 2025

Can guests pre-order food and drink, with modifiers?

Yes. Your Square items, categories and modifier groups sync into Stampede, so guests choose sizes, add-ons and allergen options at pre-order, respecting Square's own min and max selection rules. Every item and modifier is itemised in the basket and confirmation email, and the full order, modifiers included, pushes to the Square till with the booking. Ideal for allergen-heavy and festive or large-party menus.

Asked by Odalys Reyes · Jul 20, 2025

Can I take deposits and stop no-shows?

Yes. Flat-rate or per-cover deposits, split deposits, and cancellation charges. Deposits can be processed through Stripe or Square. Square deposits work via a second Square account that takes the payment and routes it to your main POS account as a third-party payment, since Stampede's Reservations API is built for third-party payments. Either way, the deposit lands on the Square check when the guest is seated.

Asked by Youssef El-Sayed · Jul 18, 2025

Does guest data and spend sync?

Yes. Square spend and line-item data flows onto unified Stampede guest profiles, and your booking guests sync into the Square customer directory, so you see full guest history right on the Square device.

Asked by Anya Sokolova · Jul 17, 2025

What does "unified guest profile" actually mean?

Every signal a guest gives off, a booking, a Wi-Fi sign-in, a payment, a loyalty point, a review, attaches to one record. No duplicates, no nightly export, no manual matching.
