Overview

Simplescraper is a browser-based web scraping tool designed to make data extraction accessible without writing code. Users can point and click on elements they want to capture, then export results to formats like CSV, JSON, or Google Sheets, or push them through an API and webhooks. Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Recipe library for common sites is exactly what I needed, and multiple export options including Sheets and webhooks. but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and cloud scheduling and API access for automation. Chrome extension for visual scraper building fits neatly into how we already work, and export to CSV, JSON, Google Sheets removed a step we used to do by hand. AI processing increases cost per run, which is the main caveat, but it has held up under daily use.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on cloud-based scheduled scrapes, and easy point-and-click setup with no coding required caught me off guard. still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on rEST API and webhook integration, and multiple export options including Sheets and webhooks caught me off guard. Credit-based pricing can add up for large jobs is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Q&A

What types of sites are difficult for Simplescraper to scrape?

Highly complex sites, especially those with strong anti‑scraping measures, dynamic content that requires advanced interaction, or heavy JavaScript rendering, may need workarounds or may not be fully supported by the point‑and‑click interface.

Asked by Zeynep Aydin · Aug 10, 2025

Can I use AI to transform scraped content, and does it affect pricing?

Yes, you can add AI‑driven summarization, classification, or custom field extraction using natural‑language prompts. The AI processing is billed in addition to the standard credit usage, so large or frequent AI‑enhanced runs may increase costs.

Asked by Hasan Demir · Jul 11, 2025

What export and integration options are available for scraped data?

You can export results as CSV, JSON, or directly to Google Sheets. Additionally, Simplescraper provides a REST API and webhook support for feeding data into other applications or automation workflows.

Asked by Dalia Haddad · Jun 29, 2025

How does Simplescraper handle scheduling and where do the scrapes run?

Simplescraper runs scheduled scrapes in the cloud, so you can set up recurring jobs that execute without keeping your browser open. The cloud service handles execution and can push results via API, webhook, or export files.
