It simulates a three-person discussion around the content of a research paper, making complex information more accessible and enjoyable to absorb. The tool features three distinct personas: a Host who guides the conversation, a Learner who asks intuitive questions, and an Expert who provides in-depth knowledge. The process involves creating a detailed plan for each section of the paper, generating a script through a retrieval-augmented model, and refining the script for smooth flow. The generated script is then converted into audio using the OpenAI API, producing realistic voices for each persona. This tool is cost-effective, with an example cost of $0.16 to generate a 9-minute podcast from a 19-page research paper. It's suitable for those who prefer listening over reading, especially during commutes or travel.
