Overview

Jangbu Connect (Grade A) is a security-tested business skill for Claude AI that issues and sets up CODEF API credentials for automatic collection of HomeTax, bank, and credit card data. To use the skill, users must sign up for a free account on CODEF (developer.codef.io) and obtain a Client ID/Secret. The skill saves the Client ID and Secret to a local macOS Keychain or a ~/.jangbu/credentials.env file. This skill follows the BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) principle and does not transmit data to an external server. The skill consists of four steps: obtaining a CODEF account, registering the credentials, confirming the registration, and testing the connection. In Step 1, users must register for a CODEF account, log in, and select the 'My Page' > 'Service Management' > 'New Service Registration' option. They must then select '대한민국' (Korea), '공공' (public), and '금융' (finance) services, and enter the Client ID and Secret copied from the CODEF My Page. In Step 2, users must input the Client ID, Client Secret, and RSA Public Key (optional for production API usage). They can also choose to use a sandbox environment and select whether to save the credentials to the Keychain or an .env file. The skill then calls the codef_credentials_save function to save the credentials. In Step 3, users can confirm the registration by checking the codef_credentials_status response, which displays the credentials status, source, and preview. In Step 4, users can test the connection using the '간편인증 테스트' (simple authentication test) menu. This skill is suitable for individuals who want to collect HomeTax, bank, and credit card data for personal or business use. The skill has a cost guide, with free plans available for personal developers (up to 1,000 requests) and startups (up to 10,000 requests). The skill also provides information on legal indeminity, data storage, and data privacy policies. Users can opt for manual download and import using the jangbu-import flow in case they find the skill difficult to use. Jangbu Connect (Grade A) is a reliable and secure skill for collecting HomeTax, bank, and credit card data, with no external server transmission and a BYOK principle. The skill is suitable for various users, including individuals and startups, and follows Korean public financial API standards.

Asked by Linda Petersen · Jun 11, 2026

Can I use Jangbu Connect with both sandbox and production environments?

Yes. The skill supports both environments; you register separate credentials for each and can test the connection accordingly. The sandbox allows free testing, while production requires your own CODEF credentials and may have higher request limits.

Asked by Yuki Mori · May 30, 2026

Where are my CODEF Client ID/Secret stored?

Credentials are stored locally on your machine either in the macOS Keychain or in a ~/.jangbu/credentials.env file. No data is sent to external servers, following a BYOK approach.

Asked by Julia Steiner · May 5, 2026

Is there a cost to use Jangbu Connect (Grade A)?

The skill itself is free. You only need to create a free account on CODEF (developer.codef.io). The free sandbox plan allows up to 1,000 requests per month; production use may require a paid plan on CODEF, but that is managed separately from the skill.
