Overview

Genie 4 is an AI-powered platform that generates interactive, explorable 3D worlds from text prompts or images. It's designed for researchers, creators, and educators, offering real-time world generation at 24 FPS and 720p resolution. The platform utilizes the Genie 4 World Model and Google Genie 4 technology. Users can create worlds by describing a scene in plain language, then generating an interactive 3D environment that can be navigated in real-time. The world remains consistent for several minutes, allowing for realistic physics and layout. Key features include the ability to edit worlds with text prompts, trigger events, and change the scene on the fly. Genie 4 also supports immersive learning, scientific visualization, and creative world-building. The platform offers a free version, Genie 4 AI Free, which allows users to try out the features in their browser without installation. It also provides premium plans with unlimited access to all features, currently offering a 50% discount on annual plans.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: consistent environment persistence and useful for AI agent training environments. Where it lags: not a full replacement for hand-crafted 3D assets. On balance the feature set — especially support for embodied agent simulation — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is text-to-3D world generation — handled better than most — and speeds up 3D prototyping workflows. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on support for embodied agent simulation, and useful for AI agent training environments caught me off guard. Limited availability and access is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Q&A

What is Genie 4?

It’s a tool that turns a short text prompt into an interactive 3D world you can explore in your browser in real time.

Asked by George Papadakis · Jul 25, 2026

How do I create my first world?

Type a few sentences describing the scene you want, hit Generate, and you’ll get a playable world you can move through and tweak.

Asked by Quyen Tran · Jul 6, 2026

What resolution and frame rate do I get?

Output is 720p at around 24 FPS, so it stays smooth while running in the browser.

Asked by Bruno Kaufmann · Jun 23, 2026

Can I use it for research or commercial projects?

Yes. Lots of teams use it for research, education, and creative work; check the current terms if you plan to use it in production.

Asked by Mohammed Al-Amin · May 30, 2026

Does it work on phones and tablets?
