Overview

Elastic Email MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that exposes Elastic Email's platform to AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP-compatible clients. Once connected, your AI tool can act as a personal email agent, handling tasks such as sending messages, managing contacts and pulling campaign data through natural language requests. It is aimed at marketers, developers and small teams who want to automate routine email workflows without writing custom API integrations. The MCP layer translates conversational instructions into authenticated Elastic Email API calls, letting users draft, schedule and review email activity from inside their preferred AI interface.

Does the job

Pretty happy overall. Compatible with Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients just works and reduces need for custom Elastic Email API code. Requires an active Elastic Email account can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: compatible with Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients and useful for both transactional and marketing tasks. On balance the feature set — especially campaign analytics and reporting access — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and brings email automation directly into AI chat workflows. Send transactional and campaign emails via AI fits neatly into how we already work, and campaign analytics and reporting access removed a step we used to do by hand. Limited to features exposed by the MCP server, which is the main caveat, but it has held up under daily use.

Is my data safe when using the Elastic Email MCP server?

Yes. We ensure your AI agents can safely access and control your email operations while maintaining robust security and proper authentication. We use a safe HTTPS connection to transfer data, we only allow connections after providing an API key, and the customer has control over their API keys and can grant granular access or revoke access at any time. When it comes to AI agents and the data that is downloaded and processed by them, the customer must verify which agent they choose and what consents they give there.
