Overview

Apify Store is a public marketplace built on top of the Apify platform where developers publish ready-to-run actors—cloud programs that handle web scraping, browser automation, and AI agent workflows. Users can browse thousands of pre-built tools for tasks like extracting data from social networks, e-commerce sites, search engines, and maps, then run them directly in the cloud with pay-per-use or subscription pricing. For builders, the Store doubles as a monetization channel: developers can list their own actors, set pricing models, and earn revenue when others run them. The underlying Apify SDK and platform handle infrastructure, proxies, scheduling, and storage, letting creators focus on the logic of their scrapers or agents.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on cloud runtime with scheduling and storage, and managed cloud infrastructure with proxies included caught me off guard. Costs can scale quickly with heavy usage is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Support for AI agent deployment is exactly what I needed, and managed cloud infrastructure with proxies included. but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Proxy and anti-blocking infrastructure is exactly what I needed, and works with both no-code users and developers. I do wish quality varies between community-published actors, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is proxy and anti-blocking infrastructure — handled better than most — and monetization options for tool creators. Costs can scale quickly with heavy usage is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Q&A

Can I try Apify for free?

Absolutely! We offer a free plan that lets you use most of the features of the Apify platform, but with certain limits. No credit card is required. The free plan includes Apify Proxy, which is limited to use within the platform and does not extend to external clients. If you'd like a free demo of Apify's custom solutions, please contact us.

Which plan should I choose?

If you're unsure which plan is right for you, just pick the lowest-priced plan that has all the features you need. If you exceed the prepaid platform usage, you'll get a notification, and the excess usage will be added to the next invoice (see below for details). You can upgrade to a higher plan at any time in your Billing settings, and you'll only pay for the price difference.

What is the pricing for Actors in Apify Store?

The Actors in Apify Store are either free or have to be rented for a monthly fee specific to each Actor. Running Actors will consume the platform usage credits included in your plan. Excess usage will be charged to your next invoice. The exact platform usage depends on the specific Actor, the type of job it performs, how often it runs, and for how long. The easiest way to find out the platform usage of an Actor is to perform a test run. You can then review your platform usage in your Billing settings and figure out the best subscription plan for your needs. If you need advice, please contact us.

Asked by Amos Fältskog · Feb 5, 2026

Can I upgrade, downgrade or cancel my plan?

You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time in your Billing settings. When you upgrade, your payment will be prorated, so you will only pay for the difference between the old and the new price, taking into account how much of the billing cycle has already passed. When you downgrade, there's no proration except for the unused platform usage that's rolled over to the new plan. If you decide to cancel, your subscription will last until the end of the current billing cycle. It won't be renewed after that. Note that you might still be charged for excess platform usage.

Asked by Olamide Fashola · Jan 27, 2026

What drives the cost of an Actor run?

The cost of an Actor run depends on the compute unit consumption, storage, proxies used, and data transfer. You can check your daily usage chart on the Apify platform.
