Overview

AnyAPI is a unified API gateway that gives developers a single endpoint for accessing more than 400 AI models from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others. Instead of managing separate integrations, billing accounts, and SDKs for each vendor, teams can route all of their model calls through one consistent interface. The platform includes smart routing logic that can direct requests to the most appropriate model based on cost, latency, or availability, helping reduce downtime and optimize spend. It is aimed at engineering teams building production AI features who need flexibility to switch between models without rewriting application code.

Key features

  • Unified API for 400+ AI models
  • Multi-provider support (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, more)
  • Intelligent request routing
  • Automatic failover between providers
  • Centralized usage analytics
  • Drop-in compatibility with common SDKs

Use cases

Consolidate multi-model integrations

Replace separate OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google integrations with a single endpoint, reducing SDK maintenance and unifying billing across 400+ models.

Optimize cost and latency

Use intelligent routing to automatically send each request to the model best suited on price, speed, or availability without changing application code.

Add failover for production AI features

Protect user-facing AI features from provider outages by enabling automatic failover between providers when a model becomes unavailable.

Experiment and switch models freely

Engineering teams can swap between models from different vendors to benchmark quality or cost without rewriting integration logic.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Single integration covers 400+ models
  • Smart routing for cost and reliability
  • Easy switching between providers
  • Consolidated billing and usage tracking

Cons

  • Adds a third-party dependency to the stack
  • Potential latency overhead from the proxy layer
  • Advanced provider-specific features may be abstracted away

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on intelligent request routing, and single integration covers 400+ models caught me off guard. Potential latency overhead from the proxy layer is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: centralized usage analytics and easy switching between providers. Where it lags: advanced provider-specific features may be abstracted away. On balance the feature set — especially drop-in compatibility with common SDKs — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.

Does the job

Pretty happy overall. Automatic failover between providers just works and consolidated billing and usage tracking. Adds a third-party dependency to the stack can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.

Q&A

Is there a free tier to try before paying?

Yes. Our Free plan gives you enough credits to test key features and experiment with different models — no credit card required.

Asked by Willa Thompson · Mar 15, 2026

Can I integrate AnyAPI into my app or backend easily?

Yes. We support RESTful API calls and provide lightweight SDKs for Python, Node.js, and other popular frameworks. You can integrate in minutes.

Asked by Nadia Petrova · Mar 12, 2026

How does API credit usage work?

Each request consumes API credits based on the model used and token count. You can track usage in real-time and set soft or hard limits per project or team.

Asked by Marisol Pena · Jan 17, 2026

Do I need separate accounts for each LLM provider like OpenAI or Anthropic?

No. AnyAPI gives you unified access to multiple AI models through a single API key — no individual provider accounts required.
