Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is sentiment and positioning analysis — handled better than most — and useful for both brand monitoring and GEO strategy. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and useful for both brand monitoring and GEO strategy. Prompt and query monitoring fits neatly into how we already work, and prompt and query monitoring removed a step we used to do by hand. Pricing may be steep for small teams, which is the main caveat, but it has held up under daily use.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on source and citation attribution, and focused specifically on AI search visibility caught me off guard. still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Q&A

What is the free AI Visibility Checker?

The AI Visibility Checker is a free public tool that analyzes any website across 13 dimensions and produces four scores: Overall, AI Visibility, SEO, and AEO (AI Engine Optimization). No account or credit card required — just enter a URL and get your report in under 60 seconds.

Asked by Aisha Khan · Aug 6, 2025

What does the Site Checker actually analyze?

It runs 13 checks across your website: AI files (llms.txt, ai.txt, ai-plugin.json), entity presence (Wikipedia, Wikidata, Google Knowledge Graph), structured data, content quality, domain authority, security (HTTPS, HSTS), page speed, robots.txt, JavaScript rendering, URL structure, meta tags, LLM brand mention rate, and AI citation source analysis.

What is AI Visibility (AEO)?

AI Engine Optimization (AEO) is the practice of making your website easy to find, understand, and cite for AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. Unlike traditional SEO which focuses on Google rankings, AEO focuses on whether AI models can access your site, understand your brand, and include you in their responses.

Asked by Vera Nováková · Jul 3, 2025

What is an llms.txt file and do I need one?

llms.txt is a simple text file placed at the root of your website (e.g. yourdomain.com/llms.txt) that tells AI language models what your website is about, which pages are most important, and how to interpret your content. It's similar to robots.txt but designed specifically for LLMs. Most websites don't have one yet, which is an easy early-mover advantage. You can generate one for free with our LLMs.txt Generator.

Asked by Diego Fernández · Jun 24, 2025

How is the AI Visibility score calculated?

Each of the 13 analysis modules produces a sub-score (0–100). These are weighted and combined into four summary scores: Overall, AI Visibility, SEO, and AEO. The AI Visibility score is most heavily influenced by entity presence, LLM brand mention rate, AI citation source analysis, robots.txt access for AI bots, and AI files. Scores of 80+ are green, 60–79 are amber, and below 60 are red.
