Overview

Aphra is an AI-powered personal assistant designed to help freelancers, solopreneurs, consultants, and founders manage their daily tasks more efficiently. It acts as a virtual secretary, handling tasks such as inbox triage, reply drafting, calendar management, and providing daily briefings. The tool reads and sorts emails by urgency, drafts replies in the user's tone and voice, and manages the calendar by scheduling meetings, resolving conflicts, and blocking focus time. Aphra can be interacted with through voice notes, text, or quick notes, and it integrates with mobile devices, with web and desktop apps planned for future release. Aphra aims to save users time by automating tasks such as email management and calendar organization, allowing them to focus on high-priority work. It offers a free trial with no credit card required and is priced at a fraction of the cost of hiring a real secretary. Key features include voice-to-email functionality, where users can dictate replies on the go, and a daily briefing that provides priorities and a plan for the day. Aphra distinguishes itself from AI chatbots by its proactive approach to managing users' days, rather than simply providing answers to questions. Overall, Aphra is positioned as a tool that can help solo professionals and small business owners streamline their workflow, reduce email and calendar chaos, and start their days with clarity and a sense of control.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and reduces friction across routine workflows. Quick question answering fits neatly into how we already work, and quick question answering removed a step we used to do by hand. but it has held up under daily use.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Task and reminder management is exactly what I needed, and reduces friction across routine workflows. I do wish limited public details about advanced capabilities, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: lightweight, user-friendly design and helps organize daily tasks and reminders. On balance the feature set — especially task and reminder management — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.

Does the job

Pretty happy overall. Task and reminder management just works and reduces friction across routine workflows. Limited public details about advanced capabilities can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.
