Does the job
Pretty happy overall. AI location extraction just works and visualizes destinations on a map. Depends on quality of source reels can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.

Skeptical, then convinced
I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on map-based trip visualization, and turns social media inspiration into usable itineraries caught me off guard. still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Why should I plan trips from Instagram?
Your Instagram feed is already hyper-personalized to your taste and understands what kind of places you like. AI chatbots don't have access to this personalized data and can't surface travel plans tailored to you like Instagram can. Why let an algorithm decide where you should go when your feed already knows your style?

How does the Instagram account verification process work? Is it safe?
Absolutely safe! You don't need to login to your Instagram account or give Map Your Voyage any permissions. Your account remains completely secure and private. We only read your public bio to verify the Instagram username you enter belongs to you. We generate a 6-letter code that you add to your Instagram bio temporarily. Once we find the code, your account is verified & you can delete the code from your bio.

We cannot access any of your private Instagram data. We can only read the DMs you send to us.

How accurate is the automatic location detection?
Our AI analyzes the actual video footage, any text in the video, as well as Instagram captions to figure out the actual locations with 99.8% accuracy. It detects not just countries but exact locations. For example: (1) A carousel post with 12 images featuring 4 countries each (48 total locations) was correctly identified down to specific places in each country - see proof at https://www.instagram.com/p/DSR15lwk3-n/. (2) A travel reel was analyzed and all featured locations were accurately extracted - see proof at https://www.instagram.com/reel/DO2dgHckmWk/.

Can I remove my Instagram account later?
Yes, you can remove your verified Instagram account at any time from your profile settings. All bucket list items that were added through Instagram DMs will remain intact in your account.
