I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on free with no account required, and client-side processing keeps files private caught me off guard. 100-file cap per batch is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Client-side in-browser processing is exactly what I needed, and works in any modern browser. but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Does the job
Pretty happy overall. Batch support for up to 100 files just works and batch conversion of up to 100 files. 100-file cap per batch can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.

Will the converted PNG keep EXIF metadata like date, GPS, and camera info?
Yes. HeicToPng.org preserves EXIF metadata — date taken, GPS coordinates, camera model, shutter speed, lens data — when converting HEIC to PNG. Your photo's timestamps stay intact, so the PNG lands in the right place in Photos or Google Photos ordered by date.

Does converting HEIC to PNG lose image quality?
No. PNG is a lossless format. Our converter preserves the original resolution, colors, and details of your HEIC photos. While the file size might increase slightly compared to compressed JPGs, the visual quality remains identical to the original Apple photo.
