How does the heartbeat feature affect updates and task execution?

Every invocation sends a heartbeat (mcp__cogny__heartbeat) with skill_version and model_name. If a skill update is available, the skill notifies you to visit the dashboard or run /cogny update. The heartbeat also checks for available MCP tools before proceeding with task execution.

What happens if no ad accounts are connected when I run a task?

The skill will still queue and display tasks, but it cannot query live data without platform tools. You’ll see a warning: "⚠️ No data sources connected" and can connect accounts from the dashboard to enable full analysis.
