How do I integrate the server with Claude for Desktop?

Edit Claude’s config file (macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json; Windows: APPDATA\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json) and add an entry under mcpServers with the command to run the .NET project. Then the client can query the server via MCP.

Which AFL data can I retrieve through this server?

You can fetch current and past standings by round and year, results from specific games or rounds, basic team information, lists of teams per season, power rankings, tips and predictions, and projected ladders.

What programming environment is required to run mcp-afl-server?

The server requires .NET 9.0 or later. You also need an MCP compatible client, such as Claude for Desktop, and an active internet connection to access the Squiggle API.
