What features does the plugin provide during a decompilation session?

You can fetch the current class name, get selected text, list all classes, search methods and classes, retrieve full class source, and obtain a method by name—all via live API calls to the LLM for instant code review and vulnerability insights.

Are there any compatibility or setup limitations to be aware of?

The plugin requires a standalone Python server and currently has limited information about compatibility with decompilers other than JADX. Dependency on an external LLM also means that performance and availability depend on the chosen LLM service.

Which LLMs are supported by jadx-ai-mcp?

The plugin is designed to work with popular LLMs such as Claude. It can also be used with any LLM client that speaks the Model Context Protocol, as the server forwards requests to the chosen LLM.

How do I set up the jadx-ai-mcp plugin with my current JADX installation?

Install the plugin via the ZIP or GitHub release, then run the accompanying Python server (JADX MCP Server). Once both are running, the plugin will automatically communicate with the server using MCP, allowing real‑time AI interactions in the JADX UI.
