Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: debug logs of intermediate reasoning and useful for fast prototyping and experimentation. Where it lags: requires API keys and developer setup. On balance the feature set — especially debug logs of intermediate reasoning — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Lightweight, self-contained Python project is exactly what I needed, and free and fully open source. I do wish output often needs manual review and fixes, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Does the job

Pretty happy overall. Lightweight, self-contained Python project just works and generates multi-file projects from one prompt. Quality depends heavily on the underlying LLM can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Customizable prompt templates is exactly what I needed, and hackable codebase that's easy to customize. I do wish not suited for large production systems out of the box, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and hackable codebase that's easy to customize. Lightweight, self-contained Python project fits neatly into how we already work, and lightweight, self-contained Python project removed a step we used to do by hand. Output often needs manual review and fixes, which is the main caveat, but it has held up under daily use.
