What is screenpipe?

screenpipe is a local-first, private AI agent memory that captures what you've seen, heard, and done, giving AI agents the context and information they never had, so they never start from scratch. What are pipes?

A pipe is a markdown file (pipe.md) with a prompt and a trigger (meeting ended, PR merged, daily at 6pm). An AI agent reads your screen and audio memory and executes the instructions, writing notes to your notebook, updating Linear tickets, posting to HubSpot. How much does screenpipe cost?

Basic starts at $25/month. Business is $50/seat/month for power users and small teams. Larger teams and enterprise deployments (managed rollout, SSO, security review) are quoted on a call. Existing lifetime licenses remain valid.

Is my data private?

screenpipe is local-first. In local-only mode, recordings, transcripts, and pipe data live in a local SQLite database on your device. Data movement depends on whether you enable sync, cloud AI, exports, connectors, or team workflows.
