What happens if I already completed the onboarding harvest steps before starting the tutorial?

The tutorial’s state check reads .egregore/state.json and, if onboarding.harvest_rounds are present, it reuses the stored role, domain, and research focus values to skip redundant questions in Step 1.

How does the tutorial ensure its outputs are distinguished from regular session work?

Every artifact and quest created during the tutorial is automatically tagged with "tutorial generated" in its topics array, allowing handoff commands to filter them out of the Session Artifacts view.

Can the Tutorial skill run without connecting to a knowledge graph?

Yes. In local mode the tutorial operates in markdown‑only mode, skipping all graph queries, node creation, and edge reporting, and only creates in‑memory artifact and quest files.
